Claire Elise Boucher (/bu:'SeI/ boo-SHAY, born on 17 March in 1988), known professionally as Grimes, is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, and producer of records. 2][3] The variety of her first music was described as "lo the fi R&B" and "futuristic dance-pop". The artist has used elements of hip hop, electronic and rock. Her songs often incorporate science-fiction and feminist themes in her songs. Five studio albums were released by her. Grimes was born and raised in Vancouver, and then moved to Montreal at the age of 2000. Grimes started releasing her songs as a solo artist at the beginning of 2000. two albums came out through Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes, and Halfaxa in the year 2010. Following her signing with 4AD the band gained popularity by releasing Visions which is her third album of studio work. Visions features the singles "Genesis," and "Oblivion". It was also awarded the Juno Award of the Canadian Music Industry for Electronic Album of the Years. Art Angels, her fourth studio album, debuted in 2015. A number of publications have rated it one of the greatest albums. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth studio album. Outside of music, Grimes had a voice character in the 2020 online action-role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 and is a judge on the competition for musicians game show Alter Ego. Georges Georges Grimes
