Morgan Smith

Morgan Smith, a student from Columbia College and Mannes College of Music at the New York city's Columbia University, was a Seattle Opera Young Artist (1999-2000). In 2001 he made his debut in Billy Budd playing Donald. An absolute favorite for audiences in Seattle and beyond, Mr. Smith has performed roles in a dozen other operas since the debut. These include his most famous role as Count Alamaviva of Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni (title role), Silvio in I Pagliacci, Riccardo in I Puritani, and Peter Niles in Mourning Becomes the Electra. He is a regular performer on the concert stage with the Seattle Symphony, Mr. Smith made his Dallas Symphony debut in Bach's St. Matthew Passion, and debuted with the San Antonio Symphony for the North American premiere of Vier Praludien und Ernste Gesange, Detlef Glanert's orchestral adaptation of the beloved cycle written by Brahms. Beethoven's Ninth Symphony is also on the schedule, along with the Requiems composed by Brahms Faure Mozart Durufle, Masses C Minor Mozart Vaughan Williams and Bach's B Minor Mass. Handel's Messiah, L'Allegro Penseroso Moderato as well as Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, Bach's B Minor Mass, many Cantatas and Bach's Weihnachts Oratorium. Morgan Morgan Morgan
