Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist who is currently fighting in the flyweight division of the UFC. She is also the elder sister of the former UFC Flyweight champ and fellow UFC athlete Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as an Muay Thai kickboxer. Her debut was in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the competition and defeated Suzane Milliner by unanimous decision. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007, she also won a bronze medal in 2008, and a gold medal gold in the year 2011. Then she was named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion in 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia has started her professional career in 2003, was crowned in 2012 and 2016, the International Lion Fight Lightweight championships. In 2016, the WMC World Championships also staged in 2016, and she won the 2016 IFMA Muay Thai World Champion. Antonina took on Isa Tidblad Kskikangas in the final round of Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won via unanimous verdict. Antonina Schevchenko started her professional MMA career in 2002, with the victory over Anara Baanova, during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She took the win by second round TKO and then won the next 2-fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003, accumulating an overall record of 3-0. Shevchenko dedicated herself to kickboxing as she took a prolonged time off of MMA. She returned to fight in 2017 and faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui by the unanimous verdict. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 in the same decision. She left the club and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's striking skills were superior and allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. Antonina was offered a UFC deal following her win. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC in the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi in a unanimous decision. But, she fell in her second bout due to the split decision. Antonina has recovered from her defeat by beating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the bonus of a fight-of-the night. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn as well as Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She fought Ariane Lipski, but also defeated Ariane. In the past, Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
